More WordPress Core Updates!
There continues to be a ton of news surrounding WordPress and Security these last two weeks.
This week has already turned out to be “more of the same”.
The team at WordPress released the 3rd update to the core in the last week yesterday stating:
WordPress 4.2.1 is now available. This is a critical security release for all previous versions and we strongly encourage you to update your sites immediately.
A few hours ago, the WordPress team was made aware of a cross-site scripting vulnerability, which could enable commenters to compromise a site. The vulnerability was discovered by Jouko Pynnönen.
WordPress 4.2.1 has begun to roll out as an automatic background update, for sites that Radio Show those.
For more information, see the release notes or consult the list of changes.
If you are NOT a WPBlog Support client please make sure to manually update to this latest secure version of WordPress, along with any WordPress theme and WordPress Plugin updates that have followed as a result.
