Great News for WordPress Bloggers who ALSO do retail and face to face selling!
WooCommerce announced a new WordPress Plugin that integrates the SQUARE payment gateway with the WooCommerce Shopping Cart!
The announcement includes a bunch of great features but the one that struck me as most interesting is great news for online markers that sell physical goods and struggle with inventory issues. They’ll now be able to sync their online/offline product catalogs as well as their inventory levels.
Here’s the rest of the details:
- Use Square to accept all major credit cards with WooCommerce
- Take payments online and offline for the products you’ve already created in WooCommerce
- Manually sync products from WooCommerce to Square, or from Square to WooCommerce — no need to set up items twice
- New products created in WooCommerce will automatically be added to Square
- Sync inventory automatically between WooCommerce and Square — when an item is purchased, inventory will be updated on both platforms
- Compatible with WooCommerce 2.5 and up
