What Are The Different Types Of WebCasts?
Duration: 21 Minutes
Description: Any WebCast consists of two pieces. You have to capture a live event. This event creates a “raw file” and may consist of multiple types of media. For the most part, I’ll refer to an audio WebCast.
Raw files are usually huge; an hour of a conversation recorded may exceed 1 Gigabyte. To broadcast an audio event live you need to compress the audio into a much smaller “encoded” format. The encoded file is then broadcast over the web (WebCast) using a special media server.
