Mambot are the current name of a class of Joomla Extensions. The current version of Joomla is 1.11 while the new version (currently in beat) 1.5 will replace the name Mambot.
For the purposes of this session I’ve explained how a mambot works and where it fits in to your membership site. So while the name may change in the future, the purpose and function of the mambots will not.
